Ryan Reynolds’ film “Buried” premiered at Sundance to rave reviews. It was the first major pickup of the festival, purchased by Lionsgate Entertainment. Jason Constantine, LG’s president of acquisitions, said in a statement, “Buried” is one of the tightest, most intense thrillers we’ve ever seen, and we were absolutely determined to bring it home to Lionsgate. “Buried” is a powerful reminder that all you really need for an unforgettable movie experience is a great story, inventive filmmaking and brilliant acting.” Included in the cast is WLS guest teacher Stephen Tobolowsky.
Congratulations to Mike Novick, WLS member and producer of “Glee,” for his show’s GOLDEN GLOBE AWARD for Best Television Series – Musical or Comedy and SAG AWARD for outstanding performance by an ensemble in a comedy series!!! 
Amy Adams’ film “Leap Year” opened January 8th. Congratulations!
George Lopez & Katherine Boecher’s film “The Spy Next Door” opened January 15th. Congratulations!
James Van Der Beek landed a recurring role on the NBC medical drama Mercy. He will play Liam West, the new head of Intensive Care.
Nikki DeLoach booked 2 movies back to back! She shot "The Trial," with Matthew Modine, Bob Gunton, and Rance Howard followed by "Masquerade," with Treat WIlliams, Stephen Colletti, and Terry Kiser.
Carter McIntyre is a series regular on the new JJ Abrams pilot “Undercovers”! 
Mark Famiglietti booked a strong supporting role aside Val Kilmer, James Remar and 50 Cent in the movie "GUN.”
Ashley Williams guest stars as Ashley, on the “New Adventures of Old Christine.” 
Erin Cardillo shot a guest spot on the new FX show “Justified.” 
Mackenzie Rosman guest starred as Zoe on “The Secret Life Of The American Teenager.”
Adam Kulbersh booked a guest star on “Miami Medical.” 
Jen Dede stars in the world premiere “Cousin Bette” with the Antaeus LA Classical Theatre Ensemble.
WLS voice and movement teacher Jamie Wollrab directs “Geography of a Horse Dreamer” by Sam Shepard at the Moth Theatre. All WLS members get discounted tickets!
Ariel Joseph Towne has sold his show “The Feng Shui Guy” to the SyFy channel. The pilot is currently in production.
Terryn Westbrook guest starred on "Gigantic,” a new original series for Teen Nick, and shot a national commercial for Ace Hardware.
Hillary Barbour has been cast in the feature film “The Bollywood Boys,” opposite Colin Nemec (Parker Lewis Can’t Lose) and David Faustino (Married…With Children). The film is produced by WLS member Al Gomez.
Danielle DiLorenzo will be appearing on “Survivor All Stars” as a contestant from season 12, “Panama.”
Niko Vitacco booked a co-star in the promo pilot “New Born” to be pitched to the CW.
